Steelmart

Our place, Steelmart, is located right at the Cherooty Road Junction in Kozhikode. We are basically next to the petrol pump, so it’s pretty hard to miss us if you’re driving through that part of town. The address is 42/3521 for those who need the exact numbers for their paperwork or records. It’s a busy spot with cars always zooming by. We spend most of our time dealing with various steel items. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the locals. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we just keep working through it. People from the district come to us when they are fixing up their houses or starting a new gate or something similar. We don’t do much talking, mostly just measuring and moving heavy pieces around. The yard gets a bit cluttered during the rainy season, but that’s just how things go around here. We’ve known some of our customers for years. They just pull up, shout what they need, and we help them load it into their trucks. It’s a straightforward business. No suits or ties here, just work clothes and heavy boots. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. If you're near the junction, you'll see us. It’s just us doing our daily thing with the steel and trying to get through the day's orders.
