Our place is down in Nallalam, right in the Kozhikode area of Kerala. Peekay Steel Castings has been running for quite some time now. If you come by the facility, you will mostly hear the sound of the machines and see a lot of metal being moved around. It is hot work, especially near the furnaces, but that is just the nature of casting steel. We have a lot of local workers who have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the place. Sometimes the rain in Kerala makes things interesting, but we just keep the production lines moving regardless. We produce a lot of different parts for various industries. It is heavy, dirty work, but someone has to do it. The yard is usually full of raw materials and finished pieces waiting to be shipped out. We take the work seriously because steel is not something you can mess up. You will find us just off the main paths in Nallalam. It is an industrial spot, so it is not exactly quiet. We just get in, do the shifts, and make sure the quality of the pours is what it should be. It is a long day of work, but seeing the finished castings ready to go out makes it feel like we actually did something.
