We are based at A-14 in the Igc area, which is part of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation in Kinalur. Being in an industrial zone means there is always something going on around us. Sarcsteel Products Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a bit now. We deal with steel, as the name says, and it is heavy, loud work most of the time. The floors are concrete and usually have a bit of scrap metal lying around before we sweep up at the end of the shift. Most of our day is spent at the machines or moving materials around the yard. It is not a quiet office job by any means. We wear our boots and gear every single day. Kinalur is a good place for this kind of work because the infrastructure is already set up for industrial businesses. We have a small team of workers who know their way around the equipment. Some of them have been with us since we first opened the doors here. We do not spend much time on the computer unless we are tracking a specific order or checking some specs. It is mostly hands-on work. The shed can get quite warm in the summer months, but we have some big fans that help a little bit. People who come to visit usually get a bit lost looking for A-14, but once they see the steel stacks, they know they are in the right place.
