Decgran Stones Private Limited is based out of the Naduvilakkandy house in Kannadipoyil. We’re over here near Balussery in Kozhikode. The address is a bit long, c/o Raveendran Chandi House, but once you get here, it makes sense. It’s a family-run kind of place, really. We’ve been working with stones for years, and it’s what we know best. It’s not a shiny corporate office. We have paper files and a lot of dust from the yard. We spend a lot of time outside, checking on things. People from the village drop by to chat or ask about materials. We don’t really do any big advertising. Word of mouth usually gets people to our door. Kozhikode has a lot of stone work going on, so we stay busy enough. Sometimes the weather makes it tough to get the trucks in and out of the Kannadipoyil area, but we deal with it. It’s just part of the job. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just supply stone. If you need it, we have it. We try to be helpful without making a big deal out of it. It’s a practical business for practical people. Most of us have lived here our whole lives. We keep the tea kettle going in the office for anyone who stops by. It’s just how we like to run things. Simple and steady wins the race, as they say.
