Calicut Agro Producers Llp is set up in a place known as the White House. The number is 9/1256. We are tucked right behind the Subrahmanya Kshetram temple in Vengeri. It’s a peaceful spot to work from, mostly because the temple grounds keep things from getting too noisy. Being in Calicut, we get a lot of rain, and the greenery around Vengeri is always thick. Our daily life involves managing the production side of things. It’s mostly producers working together here. We don’t have a corporate lobby or anyone in a suit. Most of us are in casual clothes, ready to get our hands dirty if needed. The White House isn’t as grand as it sounds; it’s just a solid building where we keep our records and meet with the local guys. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the back storage area. Finding the place is easy once you see the temple. We like the location because it feels like a community. There is always someone walking by or a stray cat hanging around the porch. We don’t do much in terms of promotion. We just show up every morning, open the gates, and get to work. It’s a steady pace of life. We are just a group of people in Vengeri doing our bit in the agro sector without making a big deal out of it. It’s a quiet life but we are happy with it.
