Our office is at Building No.13/94, which most people know as the Kallangal House in Cheruvadi. If you are coming via Mavoor, you just head toward the Cheruvadi P O and we are right in that neighborhood. We operate as the Kodiyathoor Vfpck Farmer Producer Company, though that’s a bit of a mouthful to say every day. We are really just a group of local growers who decided to pool our resources. The Kallangal House is where we keep the records and meet up to plan out the next season. It’s a simple setup with some old desks and a lot of notebooks filled with planting schedules. Outside, you can hear the traffic from the Mavoor road, but it’s mostly quiet enough to get work done. We deal with whatever the farmers in the Kodiyathoor area are growing, mostly trying to get things organized so everyone gets a fair shake. It isn't a high-tech operation. We still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way, with a lot of talking and a lot of handshakes. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves its purpose. We don't spend much on decorations because the money is better spent on the farm supplies. It is a practical business run by people who actually know what it’s like to work the soil around Cheruvadi. We just try to keep things moving along without too much trouble.
