We’re located over at Arathykuda in the Vechoor area of Vaikom. It’s a nice part of Kerala, and being here makes the workday feel a little less stressful. We do software work, which mostly means we’re glued to our chairs for eight or nine hours a day. The office is part of a house, so it has a very personal feel to it. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. We aren't some big multinational firm with glass walls and suits. We’re just a bunch of regular people who happen to be good at programming. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. There’s usually some tea being made in the kitchen and plenty of talk about local news during our breaks. We’ve had this setup for a while now and it suits us just fine. We don't use any fancy management techniques; we just talk to each other and get the tasks done. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to take an unexpected break, but that’s just how it goes here. We try to be helpful to our clients and keep our software simple and easy to use. It’s a quiet life, but we like the work we do. We’re just a small local team trying to do right by the people we work for. It's a simple life for us here in Vaikom.
