You’ll find us in the Anchanattu Building, No: 924, right in Kanjirappally. Being in Kottayam, we’re surrounded by people who know a thing or two about farming. Jananidhi is a farmers producer company, which is just a fancy way of saying a lot of us joined up to help each other out. We handle everything from seeds to selling. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and samples, but we know where everything is. It’s a local operation through and through. We aren't interested in being corporate. We talk like normal people because that’s who we are. Some of us have been farming these lands for decades. We know the soil in Kanjirappally better than anyone. When we set this up, we just wanted a place where farmers could come and get things sorted. We don't have a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available. Sometimes it’s busy, especially during the planting season, and other times it’s just a few of us drinking coffee and looking at the rain. We try to be helpful and stay grounded. There’s no big secret to what we do. It’s just about working together so no one gets left behind. That’s the way it should be in a place like this. We’re just the Jananidhi team, doing our bit and hoping for a good harvest every single year.
