Tanatan Food & Restaurant

If you ever find yourself at the shopping centre, you might have seen us at number 330. Tanatan Food & Restaurant is tucked in there among all the other shops and businesses. It’s a lively area, especially in the evenings when families come out to get their chores done or just walk around. Our place isn’t very large, so the tables are pretty close together and it can get a little loud when every seat is taken. You can hear the kitchen sounds clearly from the dining area—the clatter of pans and the sound of the burners. We don’t have any fancy uniforms or a polished reception desk; we just greet people and show them where to sit. The menu is printed on some simple sheets that are starting to get a bit wrinkled at the edges. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the lunch rush was bigger than we expected, and we just have to tell people we're sorry about that. That's just the way it goes in a small restaurant like this. The floors get scuffed up from all the foot traffic, and we’re always cleaning up after the kids who drop their food. It’s a bit of a chaotic environment sometimes, but it feels like a real community spot. We just focus on getting the plates out and making sure the water glasses are full for everyone who walks through the door at shop 330.
