Punjabi Mess

Punjabi Mess is located at A-805, Global School Road in Mahaveer Nagar. We are right here in Kota-rajasthan, 324005. It is near the Indra Vihar area. I opened this place because there are so many students here in Kota. They always need a place to eat that isn't too expensive or fancy. The room we have is simple. We just have some basic benches and fans. In the summer, Kota gets very hot, so the fans are always on full speed. We spend our mornings chopping onions and washing the big metal pots. You can see the school kids walking by outside all day long. It's a busy street. We don't have a fancy menu or anything like that. It’s just daily food for people who are hungry. We keep the place as clean as we can, but it’s an old building. Sometimes the paint peels a bit on the corners. We don't mind much. The focus is on the stove and getting things ready on time. We’ve been here for a while now and we know the neighborhood well. People from Indra Vihar often come over because it’s a short walk. We start work very early, usually when it’s still dark outside. By the time the sun is up, the kitchen is already warm. We don't have a lot of help, just a couple of us doing everything. It's hard work but it's okay for us.
