Shriram Light Decoration

Our business is located between Gumanpura and Keshavpura. We spend most of our time dealing with wires, colorful bulbs, and different types of decorative lights. It’s the kind of work that really picks up during the festival season or when there are weddings in the neighborhood. Our storage space is filled with tangled strings of lights that we have to test and fix constantly. When someone hires us, we go to their house or their building and spend hours climbing ladders to hang the lights just right. It can be a bit dangerous with the heights and the electricity, but we are careful about what we do. The lights make everything look much better at night, but during the day, it’s just a lot of grey wires and plastic bulbs. We don't have a big storefront with lights flashing all the time. Instead, it’s more of a workshop where we repair the sets that got broken during the last job. People in Gumanpura know us, so they just come by when they have a celebration coming up. We don't use any fancy equipment, just basic tools and our hands. It’s hard work, especially when we have to stay up late to finish a decoration job before the sun comes up. We just keep doing our work and making sure the connections are safe for everyone. After a big festival, we spend days just untangling wires and putting them back into their boxes in the small back room we have here.
