Kashyap Tent House

We run Kashyap Tent House along the Gumanpura Kotri Road. It’s more of a warehouse than a shop, honestly. We have piles of folded tents, stacks of plastic chairs, and all the metal poles leaning against the walls in the back. It gets pretty dusty in here with all the fabric moving around. We spend most of our time loading things onto trucks and driving to different spots for weddings or small parties around the city. It’s heavy work, especially when the weather is hot and the sun is out. We've been doing this for many years, so we know the local grounds and community halls pretty well. We don't have a fancy office, just a small table near the entrance where we keep our booking diary and some pens. Everything is written down by hand in a big notebook. People come by to talk about their events and pick out colors for the drapes. We don't do big fancy advertisements, we just rely on people seeing our trucks parked around town. Sometimes the fabric gets a bit worn or a chair leg breaks, so we have to fix things in between jobs during the day. It’s not a glamorous business, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We are usually up very early to start setting up before the sun gets too high in the sky. It’s just a group of us working hard to get the job done right for everyone who hires us. We stay at the site until everything is standing and ready for the guests.
