Ruchi Tent House

Over in Shakti Nagar, near the Nuri Jama Maszid in Vigyan Nagar 2, is where Ruchi Tent House is located. We are a small, family-run business that helps out with local events. We keep some different types of tents, some decorative cloths, and chairs for anyone who needs them. It’s not a high-end operation, but we have the essentials for a decent gathering. My sons and I do most of the work ourselves. We don't own a big fleet of trucks, so we usually rely on local tempos to move our gear around. Our shop is mostly a storage space filled with poles and bundles of cloth. It can get a bit messy, especially during the peak wedding season. We keep a simple handwritten register to track our bookings. Sometimes things get hectic when multiple people want the same decorations on the same day, but we try to figure it out. We’ve been here long enough that most of our neighbors know us well. We don't do any real advertising; we just rely on people talking to each other. Whether it's a small birthday or a community event at the mosque, we just provide the basic setup. It's a lot of physical labor, hauling chairs and tying ropes, but it's an honest way to make a living in this part of Kota. We've lived in Shakti Nagar for generations, so people know where to knock.
