Rajdarbar

At Rajdarbar, we are always on our feet because of where the shop is located. We are sitting right by Station Road near the IL Choraha, and if you know that area, you know it is always loud and crowded. There is a constant sound of horns and people rushing to catch their buses or trains. We open the doors pretty early in the morning because travelers are always looking for a place to sit and eat something hot before they continue their journey. It is a simple place with basic tables and chairs, nothing like those fancy restaurants you see in the mall. We mostly serve North Indian meals that fill you up. The kitchen stays very hot, especially during the lunch rush, and there is always a huge stack of plates that needs cleaning. I have worked here for a few years now, and you see all kinds of people passing through IL Choraha. Some are in a massive hurry and keep checking their phones, while others just want to sit under the fan for a bit to escape the heat. We keep the water jugs full and try to get the food out as fast as the stove allows. Sometimes the service gets a bit slow if we are understaffed, but we do what we can. It is a noisy and busy life on Station Road, but we like being right in the middle of everything.
