Polaikalan Kisan Agro Producer Company Limited

Polaikalan Kisan Agro Producer Company Limited is based out of Kota, at the place of Gobari Lal, son of Ram Narayan Meena. We are a bunch of farmers from the Polaikalan area who wanted to do things a bit differently. Instead of just selling our crops to whoever comes by, we formed this company to have more control. It's not a polished business with a logo on every wall. It's more like a village cooperative where we all have a say. Being in Rajasthan, we have to deal with a lot of heat and water issues, so working together helps us share the burden. Gobari Lal handles a lot of the day-to-day talk and keeps the papers in order at his house. We don’t have a dedicated building with a sign, but everyone in the area knows where to find us. We deal with agro products and try to find better ways to get them to market. It's mostly just regular conversations about the harvest and what the next season looks like. We aren't looking to become famous; we just want our farms to be profitable enough to keep our families going. It’s honest work, and it’s often quite tiring, but it feels right to be doing it for ourselves. If you are in Kota, you might run into us at the market or in the fields working under the sun.
