R B Soni Music House

Being located in Purani Sabji Mandi means we hear the vegetable sellers shouting all day long. It's not exactly the quietest place for R B Soni Music House, but it’s where we are. Shakti Bazar has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over time. Inside the shop, things are a bit cramped. We have instruments and accessories tucked into every corner. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for a specific string or a reed, and we have to dig through a few drawers to find it. The floor is old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to bother with that. We get a lot of dust from the main road, so there's a lot of cleaning to do every evening before we close up. People often stop by R B Soni Music House just because they’re passing through the Mandi to buy their groceries. It’s a busy spot, and the traffic outside can get pretty bad around noon. We don’t have any of those modern displays you see in the malls. It’s just shelves and counters. My father used to say the location is what keeps us busy, and he was right about that. The noise from the market blends in with whatever music we happen to be playing inside. It's a bit of a mess sometimes, but it’s our mess. We just show up, open the doors, and see what the day brings in Shakti Bazar.
