Oriental Spice

Oriental Spice is right in the middle of Shivaji Bazar at Jeevan Katla, near the Kota Junction. It is a very crowded area and there are smells of all kinds of things in the air. We sell different spices and seasonings that people use in their kitchens. The shop is filled with sacks and containers, and sometimes it is hard to even find a place to stand. We don't have a big marketing team or anything, just us weighing out spices on the scales. People come here because they know we have what they need for their recipes. It gets very dusty with all the powders being moved around, so we are always dusting off the shelves. We’ve been in this bazar for many years and have seen shops come and go. Our prices are just what they are, no big sales or gimmicks. Sometimes the trains at the junction make a lot of noise, but we don't notice it much anymore. We just keep our heads down and serve the customers one by one. It’s a lot of work to keep track of all the different items we have. We don't use any high-tech systems, just a pen and a pad of paper for our notes. If you're looking for something specific, you might have to wait a minute while we find it in the back. It is just a regular old spice shop in a busy market.
