Narayan Gas Stove

Narayan Gas Stove is our little shop in Gumanpura where we fix all sorts of cooking problems. We have been in this spot for quite a long time. If your burner isn't lighting or the knob is stuck, that’s what we handle. The shop is filled with old stoves and piles of spare parts that we have collected over the years. It’s not the most organized place, but we can find whatever we need in a few minutes. We sit on low stools to do the repair work because it’s easier on the back. Gumanpura is always moving, so we see a lot of people passing by our door. We don't have any employees, it’s just us doing the labor ourselves. Sometimes the grease from the stoves gets all over our hands and clothes, but that’s just part of the job. We don't use any fancy machines, just basic tools like pliers and screwdrivers. People in the area know they can just drop off their stove and pick it up later in the day. We don't do any advertising at all. Word gets around when you do a decent job for a fair price. We open up early and stay until the streetlights come on. It’s just a simple way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for as long as I can remember.
