Multy Star

Being located right in Makbara Bazar near the Sabji Mandi in Nayapura means there is never a dull moment for us at Multy Star. From the very early morning, the whole area is full of the sounds of vegetable sellers and people looking for deals. Our shop sits right in the middle of all that energy. We sell a variety of things, mostly items that people might need while they are out doing their daily shopping. The space is a bit narrow, so we have to use every inch of the walls to hang our stock. It gets really crowded in the evenings when the market is at its busiest, and sometimes it’s hard to even see the floor. We don't have a lot of help, so it’s mostly just us running back and forth to get things down from the high shelves. The air smells like fresh coriander and earth from the market outside, which is nice most of the time. We have a small stool behind the counter, but we rarely get a chance to sit on it for long. Customers are always coming in with questions or looking for a specific item they can't find elsewhere. We just try to keep the shop organized enough so we can find what’s needed quickly. It’s a noisy, busy place to work, but it feels good to be right in the heart of the city's trade. We just keep the lights on and the doors open.
