Mukesh Fast Food

If you are ever in the Talwandi area, you might come across Mukesh Fast Food. It is just a small place where we cook things like chowmein, burgers, and manchurian on big iron plates. Talwandi is a place where a lot of students live, so we stay busy because young people are always looking for a quick and cheap meal. I am usually the one standing behind the burner, tossing noodles in the air and mixing in the sauces. It gets very hot and smoky in our small space, especially when the sun is still out. We don't have a big dining room or anything, just some stools and a counter where people can stand and eat while they talk. It is a simple setup, but it works for us. My brother helps me with the prep work like chopping onions and washing the dishes. Sometimes we run out of bread or noodles if it has been a really busy evening, and we just have to tell the customers we are done for the day. The road outside is usually packed with scooters and bikes from the nearby coaching centers. We try to keep our little corner clean, but it is hard when so many people are coming through. We do not have a fancy printed menu, just a board where we write the prices in chalk. It is a basic business, but we have been here for a few years and the students seem to like what we do.
