Malik Purse & Bags

I started Malik Purse & Bags because there wasn't a good spot on Link Road for everyday bags. We've been at Gumanpura Road for a while now. Most days it's just me and a couple of others here. We have racks full of purses, clutches, and travel bags. People come in looking for something for a wedding or just a small wallet to keep their change. It gets dusty being right near the road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the shelves. Sometimes we run out of specific colors, but we try to keep the basics in stock. The shop isn't fancy. It’s got bright lights and mirrors everywhere so you can see how the bag looks on your shoulder. We don't do much advertising. Folks usually just walk in while they're out doing their other shopping nearby. If the zipper on your old bag breaks, sometimes we can fix it if it's a simple part, but mostly we sell new ones. It’s a busy street, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside. We open around ten in the morning. If it’s raining, we pull the metal shutters halfway down to keep the water out. It's just a regular shop where you can find something to carry your stuff. Nothing more to it. We keep the prices written on small tags tucked inside the bags so people don't have to keep asking. It’s a simple way of working.
