Maahu Wallet House

Maahu Wallet House is situated on Chhawani Road, inside the Chandra Market. It’s a busy little area and we’ve been part of it for a while now. As you might guess from the name, we mostly deal with wallets. We also have belts and some other small leather goods tucked away on the shelves. The shop isn't very large, so every inch of wall space is used to display something. We get a lot of foot traffic from people walking through the market looking for a gift or just needing to replace a worn-out wallet. The smell of leather is pretty strong when you first walk in. We spend our days rearranging the displays and talking to the people who wander in. Some folks are very picky about how many card slots they need, while others just want something that fits in their pocket. We try to keep a variety of styles so there's something for everyone. It’s a modest operation, nothing too flashy. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but we’re still here doing our thing. It gets pretty loud on Chhawani Road with all the traffic and people shouting, but inside the market, it’s a bit more contained. We just enjoy the daily routine of running the shop and meeting different people from all over the city. It’s a good spot to be, even if it gets a bit crowded on the weekends. We just keep our heads down and keep the shelves stocked up.
