Modern Bag Store

Modern Bag Store is tucked away at 1-L-25 Noori Maszid Road in Vigyan Nagar. If you know where the Noori Maszid is, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. The shop is filled with bags of all kinds—backpacks, suitcases, and little pouches. They are hanging from the ceiling and stacked on the floor, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. It smells like new fabric and plastic in here. We don’t have any big advertisements or a website. Most people find us because they live nearby or their neighbor told them we had what they needed. The road outside is usually dusty and there are often kids playing nearby. We spend our mornings reorganizing the shelves because things get moved around a lot. It’s a small team, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know the zippers and the straps on almost every item we have. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings over a tray and we take a break on the bench outside. It’s a simple life in Vigyan Nagar. We aren't trying to change the world, just selling bags to people who need them for school or travel. The shop has been in this spot for a long time. The floor tiles are a bit cracked near the entrance, but it doesn't bother anyone. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to walk in and browse.
