Mahendra Tent

We have been running Mahendra Tent on Kherli Phatak Main Road for a long time now. It’s mostly about lifting heavy poles and canvas every day. We spend a lot of time outside in the sun, getting things ready for whatever event is happening nearby. Some days are quiet, others we are running around until late. The road gets busy with traffic, so loading the trucks takes some effort. We don’t do anything fancy here. People just come by when they need a space covered for a party or something. It’s a lot of manual work, tying ropes and making sure everything stays up if the wind picks up. The stuff sits in the back of the shop when nobody needs it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from this spot. Usually, it's just a few of us working here. We keep our tools and the fabric piled up in the corners. It gets dusty because of the main road right outside. People know where we are because of the sign. We don't spend much time talking, just getting the job done and moving to the next site. Sometimes the poles get stuck or a piece of cloth tears and we have to fix it right there. It’s just how it goes in this business. We are usually here from early morning. The tea stall nearby is where we take breaks. It’s just a tent house on a busy street.
