Lakhan Tent House

Our business, Lakhan Tent House, is located in the Shopping Centre at the Kala Kua Housing Board. We have been working in this area for a long time, helping people set up for their various events and gatherings. Our shop in the shopping centre is mostly an office where we take bookings and talk to customers about what they need. We provide things like large tents, carpets, chairs, and lighting for local functions. Most of our actual equipment is kept in a separate storage area or is out being used at a site. The office itself is quite simple, with a couple of desks and some photos of past setups we have done. It’s a lot of physical work involving loading and unloading trucks and setting up heavy structures in different weather conditions. Being in the Housing Board area means we are right in the middle of the community, so we do a lot of small neighborhood events. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team. People usually just find us by walking into the shopping centre or because they saw our name at a friend's wedding. We just focus on showing up on time and getting the equipment where it needs to be. It’s a straightforward job that keeps us moving around the city. We have a small crew that has been with us for years, and we just take things one event at a time.
