Kumar Sonu Musical Group

Our group is based right on Kaithooni Pole Road in the New Sabarmati Colony. We’ve been in this area for a long time, and most people around here know the sound of us practicing. We aren't a big corporate band or anything like that. We’re just a bunch of guys who play music for local functions and weddings. Our space is usually filled with drums, keyboards, and a lot of tangled wires. It gets pretty cramped when we all get together to rehearse. We don't have a manager or anyone like that, we just handle the bookings ourselves. People usually find us through friends or by hearing us at another event. The road outside is always noisy with traffic, so we don't worry too much about making a bit of noise ourselves. We spend a lot of time traveling in an old van to get to different venues. It’s a lot of work setting up the stage and checking the sound, and then we have to pack it all back up again late at night. Sometimes the instruments need repairs, which we usually try to fix ourselves to save some money. We don't have a website or anything fancy, we just rely on people knowing our name in the colony. It’s a simple life but we enjoy playing together and being part of the local scene.
