Jitendra Pan Palace

If you live in Shakti Nagar around Dadabadi, you probably know where we are. This shop, Jitendra Pan Palace, is right in the Vikas Yojana part of the colony. It is a simple spot. I started this because I wanted something of my own in my own neighborhood. Every day is pretty much the same. I get here early, clean the glass cases, and start preparing the ingredients for the pan. The betel leaves have to be fresh or nobody wants them. We get a lot of people from the nearby houses stopping by after their dinner. It’s a bit of a routine for the older men in Dadabadi to walk down here and talk for a while. Sometimes the kids come for candies or a cold drink. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so I usually just sit back and keep the fan running. I don't really think about growing big or opening more shops. This one keeps me busy enough. Managing the stock and dealing with the suppliers is a lot of work on its own. The street outside has changed a lot over the years with new buildings coming up, but my shop stays the same. I like that people can rely on us being open when they need a little break. It’s just a regular life running a regular business. Nothing more to it than that, really.
