Agarwal Chash Counter

The shop is located on Kota Rangbari Road, which is always busy with bikes and cars going past. We spend a lot of our time sitting behind the glass counter, waiting for the next person to walk through the door. The counter is filled with different frames and lenses, and we spend a good chunk of the morning just cleaning the fingerprints off the glass. It seems like the dust from the road always finds a way inside despite the glass door. We have a small chair in the corner where people sit while they try things on. The lighting is bright because you need to see the details of the frames, but it can get a bit tiring for the eyes after eight hours. There is a small sink in the back where we wash our hands before handling the delicate parts. Sometimes the tools for adjusting the side arms of the glasses get misplaced under a pile of paperwork. We don't have a big sign inside, just the items displayed as they come. It's a simple routine of checking the stock and talking to people about what fits their face comfortably. The road outside has been under repair lately, so it's noisier than usual. We just keep the door shut and focus on the work at hand. It is a small business and we just take it day by day without worrying too much about the big stuff. It works for us.
