We work out of a space in New Town at HIG B 4/16 East Enclave. New Town feels very different from the older parts of Kolkata because it is more organized and quiet. Our office is in a residential complex, which makes it feel much more relaxed than a typical business park. We are a small consultancy, and it is really just a few of us handling everything ourselves. We don't have a big budget for decorations or expensive furniture, so the office is pretty basic. We spend most of our time at our desks, working on various projects for our clients. We do not have a corporate philosophy or any grand visions for the future. We just want to keep the business running and do right by the people who hire us. Sometimes we have meetings at the dining table because it is the biggest surface we have. We don't mind the lack of formality. It makes it easier to focus on the actual work instead of worrying about appearances. Most of our clients find us through word of mouth, which we prefer anyway. We try to be honest about what we can handle. If we can't do something, we just say so. It is a very simple and direct way of doing business. We enjoy the quiet pace of life here in East Enclave and just keep doing our daily tasks.
