Xpert English Tutorial

Xpert English Tutorial is located down the Third Lane in Olaichanditala. It’s a bit of a hidden spot if you aren't familiar with the narrow lanes in this part of Kolkata 700049. The place is basically just a couple of rooms converted into a teaching space. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights outside, just a small board near the entrance. Inside, it’s mostly shelves full of old books and dictionaries that have been used so much the covers are starting to peel off. We spend a lot of time sitting around a big central table talking and going over grammar and writing. It isn't a high-tech classroom with projectors or anything like that. We mostly use a blackboard and a lot of paper. The windows stay open most of the time to let in a breeze, so you can hear the birds and the occasional street vendor calling out. It’s a slow-paced kind of place, which helps when you are trying to learn a language. Sometimes the neighbor’s cat wanders in and sits on one of the chairs, and we just let it stay. We are just a small group of people who enjoy teaching and helping others get better at English. It’s very informal and we don't follow a strict corporate schedule. We just work through the lessons at a pace that feels right for whoever is here that day.
