S S K Academy

We started S S K Academy here in Kolkata 700131 because there was a need for a place where kids could just come and study without too much fuss. It isn't a fancy building with glass walls or anything like that. We have some benches, a few whiteboards, and we just focus on the books. Teaching is mostly about sitting down and going through the chapters one by one until they make sense. Sometimes the kids are tired after school, so we take it slow. Other days, we have to push a bit more because exams are coming up soon. We've been in this neighborhood for a while now. People around here know us. We don't do big advertisements. Most students come because their neighbors told them about us. It is just a regular place for learning. We try to keep things quiet so everyone can concentrate. If a student doesn't understand a math problem, we look at it again. There is no magic trick to it. It is just time and practice. We spend our afternoons and evenings here. The rooms get a bit warm in the summer, but we have fans. We just want the students to do okay in their tests and understand what they are reading. It’s a simple setup. We deal with different subjects depending on what the students need help with that week. It keeps us busy and we like being part of the local community here in the 700131 area.
