Wipasa Micro Foundation

Our office for the Wipasa Micro Foundation is tucked away in Sandhya Muchiparalane, which is over in the Ghurni area of Krishnagar. Narayan Ganguly is the person in charge here at this address. To get to us, you have to navigate through some of the smaller lanes near the Kotwali Police Station. It is a very residential feeling neighborhood, so you see kids playing and neighbors chatting outside their doors all the time. We are not in one of those big glass buildings you see in the city. It is just a modest place where we handle our daily tasks and paperwork. The Ghurni area is famous for its clay dolls, so there is always a bit of an artistic vibe around the corner. Inside our space, we have some old wooden desks and a couple of computers that sometimes take a while to start up in the morning. We handle a lot of papers and talk to many local people every week. It gets a bit humid during the monsoon, and the lane can get a little muddy, but that is just part of living in Krishnagar. We usually have a pot of tea going in the corner for anyone who drops by. It is a quiet life for the most part, focusing on the work we have to do right here in the lane. We don’t need much more than what we have got to keep things moving along.
