Save Be Children Home

Our home, Sishu Saden, is located right on M. G Road. If you get off the bus at the Badmatala Bus Stop, we are only a very short walk from there. Save Be Children Home is the name on our paperwork, but to everyone here, it is just the house where we look after the children. M. G Road is always very busy with buses and cars, so there is quite a bit of noise from the street all day long. Inside the house, we try our best to keep things a little more calm and organized. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze because the building isn't very large, but we make it work for the kids. We have beds, a small kitchen area, and a spot for the children to do their schoolwork and play. It is a lot of hard work to keep everything clean and make sure everyone gets a good meal. We are not a big institution with a lot of money coming in. It is mostly just a few of us doing everything from cooking to teaching. Some days are harder than others and we worry about how to manage, but things usually turn out okay in the end. People from around here sometimes drop off clothes or food, which is a big help. We don't have a website or anything fancy. We just focus on the daily needs of the kids and try to give them a safe place to stay.
