Our South West office is over on P-18Taratala Road -88. It's a busy spot because there's a lot of traffic and industry around here. Most people come in because they have a technical issue or maybe a power cut that lasted way too long. We sit in the office and take down the details of every complaint. It's not a glamorous place to work, but it's important for the people living in this section of the city. We deal with the South West district, so that covers a fair bit of ground. Sometimes the wires get crossed or a tree falls, and then our phones go crazy. We try to keep a cool head even when things get hectic. The office has been here a while. You can see the wear and tear on the walls and the old floor tiles. We don't have a lot of staff, but we know the grid. If you're coming from the main road, we're easy enough to find. We spend most of our time talking to consumers who are understandably frustrated. Nobody likes sitting in the dark when it's hot. We just take the info and pass it to the repair teams. It's a lot of writing things down in ledgers and checking the computer screens. We don't do much marketing, just handle the local electricity issues as they pop up during the day. The smell of tea and old paper usually fills the room while we work.
