Calcutta Lions Netra Niketan Unit Of Lions Club Of Calcutta Trust

We are located over at 1/2/a/2Uday Sankar Sarani in Golf Green. Most people know us because we're right near the Golf Green Door Darshan Kendra. This is a unit of the Lions Club of Calcutta Trust, specifically for eye care. It’s a place where folks come when they can't see as well as they used to. We have doctors who come in and basic equipment to check people’s vision. It’s not a fancy private hospital. It’s more of a community spot. We see a lot of elderly people from around South 24 Parganas who need help with cataracts or just need a new pair of glasses. The waiting room is usually full of people chatting while they wait for their turn. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when there’s a big crowd. The staff here are mostly locals who care about the neighborhood. We’ve been part of the Golf Green scene for a long time now. It’s a quiet enough street, easy to find if you know where the TV tower is. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. We just keep the doors open and help whoever walks in with eye trouble. It's a simple operation, run by the trust to make sure people can get their eyes looked at without too much fuss. Sometimes the queue starts before we even open the doors in the morning. We just do our best to help.
