Now, most people hear the name Vivanta Whitefield Bangalore By Taj and they think of the big hotel in Bangalore, but we have this administrative spot here in Kolkata too. It’s not a hotel lobby with gold leaf and bellhops. It’s a flat in a block. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff here. It’s mostly computers, phones, and stacks of papers that need sorting. The neighborhood is typical for Kolkata—a bit crowded, lots of noise from the street, and the smell of good food nearby. We’ve got a small team in this office.
