Hyderabad Marriott Hotel

This is a bit of an unusual setup because while the name is Hyderabad Marriott Hotel, we are actually operating out of 87/8 Dakshineswar Rly Qrt. in Kolkata. It’s right there in West Bengal, near the railway lines. The address is 700 035, and it’s a very different vibe from a big city hotel. We are based in the railway quarters, so you can hear the trains passing by at all hours of the day and night. It’s a modest place, not a luxury building with a doorman. We use the space for our specific needs, handling the local work that needs to be done. The rooms are plain, and we don't have any of the fancy amenities you’d find in a typical Marriott. It’s more of a functional office and living space for us while we are stationed here. The neighborhood in Dakshineswar is quite traditional, and we are just a small part of it. We spend our time managing the tasks at hand, which involves a lot of record-keeping and local coordination. It’s a long way from Hyderabad, but this is where the work has taken us. We deal with the humidity of Kolkata and the noise of the station without complaining much. It’s just a job that needs doing, and this quarter is where we get it done. It might seem strange to some, but we have our reasons for being here and the work keeps us pretty occupied.
