Vikartaa Foundation

Vikartaa Foundation is based over in Egra, specifically in the Ramkrishnapur area of Baranihari. We’re located at Balaram Payra’s place. Purba Medinipur is a beautiful part of West Bengal, especially with all the greenery and the open spaces around here. Our address is 721429, and it’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from Midnapore town, but we like it this way. Being away from the city noise lets us focus on the work we’re doing with the local community. We aren't a big operation with a lot of funding or fancy cars. It’s mostly just Balaram and a few others putting their heads together to see what needs doing in the village. Sometimes we’re helping with local projects, and other times we’re just a place where people can come to talk about their problems. The office is really just a part of the house, which makes it feel much more like a community center than a business. We don’t have any marketing experts or people telling us how to sound professional. We just speak the way we do at home. If you come by, you’ll likely get a cup of tea and a long conversation. That’s just how things are done in Egra. We’re proud of where we’re from and we want to do what’s right for our neighbors in Ramkrishnapur. It’s not complicated, it’s just life. We try to take things one day at a time and see what we can improve in our little corner.
