Vigilance Security Service

Vigilance Security Service operates out of Purbacha Block-D, near the Ghola Bazaar post office in North 24 Parganas. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but this is where we belong and where we do our work. The area around Ghola Bazaar is usually quite active with the local market and people going about their daily business. Our setup is pretty basic because we spend most of our time out at different sites rather than sitting in the office. We have people from the local community working with us, which makes sense since they know the roads and the people around here better than anyone else. Sometimes the weather out here in the district gets pretty rough with the rains, but the work doesn't really stop for that. We just deal with things as they come up. It’s a lot of organizing shifts and making sure someone is always where they need to be. We don't really use big fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just about being there and keeping a watch on the buildings and places we are responsible for. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking in on the guys. It’s a quiet life in some ways but there is always something to do to keep things running right in Block-D. We are just local people helping other local people out.
