Unico Foundation

Unico Foundation is situated in Hindusthan Park, which is a really nice part of Kolkata. We are at P-411/23/A on the first floor. It’s a good location because there are plenty of cafes and shops around, though we don't get much time to visit them. The office itself is quite simple. We have the usual setup of desks, a few chairs for guests, and stacks of papers that never seem to go away. We've been here for a while and have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a lot of administrative work, keeping the foundation’s projects running and making sure we stay on top of the legal stuff. We don't have a big team, just a handful of us who show up every morning and stay until the work is done. It’s a bit of a climb up to the first floor, but it’s worth it for the bit of extra quiet we get. We don't have a glossy brochure or a polished pitch. If you ask us what we do, we just tell you about the projects we are currently working on. It’s practical, everyday work. We try to keep our expenses down so we can put more into the actual foundation work. Most days are just spent answering emails and planning our next steps. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we decided to do with our time.
