Umesh & Lipi Edutech Private Limited

We are based at 6 Mahamaya Lane in the Kalighat area of Kolkata. The pincode is 700026. If you know Kalighat, you know the streets are very narrow and always crowded. Our office is tucked away in one of those lanes. Umesh and Lipi started this whole thing together a while back. We mostly work on edutech projects, which just means we use computers to help with teaching materials and things like that. It is a small space and it can get quite warm in the summer months. We have a couple of fans that stay on all day to keep us cool. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for many generations. We see them every day when we go out to get tea or snacks from the corner shop. It is a very lively place with a lot of noise from the street. We do not have a big corporate setup with receptionists or glass doors. It is just a regular room with our equipment and some chairs. We spend a lot of time just sitting and working through our lists. Sometimes we have to move the bikes outside to make a bit more room for everyone to sit. It is a humble way to run things but it works for us. We are just regular people doing our jobs in a busy part of the city. We do not have any big slogans. We just do the work.
