Ultratech Cement Ltd.

We sit here at 1116/1 Ashokenagar most days from morning until late evening. It is just a regular spot in North 24 Parganas where the trucks come in and out. The walls here have that fine grey dust on them because that is just what happens when you work with cement all day. It gets stuck in the corners of the windows. Sometimes the rain in Bengal makes everything a bit messy, and the yard gets muddy, but we keep moving. Most of us have been around here for a while now. We know the local drivers and the people who live down the street. It is not a fancy place by any means. There is a small tea shop just around the corner where we go when the heat gets too much in the afternoon. Usually, there are stacks of Ultratech bags piled up, and we spend a lot of time just checking the lists and making sure the counts are right. People come by asking about prices or when the next load is arriving. It is a bit loud with the traffic from the main road nearby, but you get used to it after a week or two. The office chair squeaks a bit, and the fan overhead makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. We just focus on getting the work done and heading home when the sun goes down. It is a simple life here in Ashokenagar, and we do our best to stay busy.
