Mainak Traders

If you are coming by bus, you just get off at the Ca Hatterhat stop and we are right there. Mainak Traders is a small shop in the Ram Raja Talla area. We have been operating out of this same building for years. We sell a bit of everything, mostly things that people need for their houses or small projects. The shelves are quite high, so we have to use a wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It is a bit wobbly, but it does the job. Most days, I am here by myself or with one helper. We talk to the neighbors and the other shopkeepers a lot. The street can get very muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time mopping the floor to keep the shop clean. We do not really do any internet stuff; people just know we are here. They come in to ask for advice on what to buy or just to see what is new. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside when it is slow and watch the buses go by. It is a quiet way to earn a living, but we like it. We have known some of our customers since they were children. It is that kind of neighborhood. Nothing fancy, just honest trading every single day. We keep the prices fair and the doors open for everyone.
