Torque Classes

Torque Classes is situated at 161, Vivekananda Road in the Beadon Street area. If you are looking for us, we are near the Sitala Mata Mandir and that famous Ganguram sweets shop. It's a very busy part of Kolkata 700006. Being near Ganguram is sometimes a bit of a distraction for the students because of the smell of fresh sweets, but they manage to stay focused on their work. The space we have is on the first floor. It's not a very big area, but we've squeezed in enough desks for small batches of students. We don't really like huge classes where no one can hear the teacher properly. It's a bit more personal here. The walls are painted a simple white, and we have a few fans to keep the air moving in the heat. Traffic on Vivekananda Road is always loud, so you'll hear horns and buses all day long. We just learn to talk a bit louder over the noise. It’s a very urban setting. We mostly deal with science and math subjects for the local kids. The people who come here are usually from the nearby schools in this part of town. We aren't part of any big chain of coaching centers. It’s just a local operation run by a few of us who actually like teaching. We are pretty straightforward about how we do things. There are no flashy posters or big slogans here. We just get to the books and try our best.
