Being in Tollygunge, we are surrounded by a lot of history and busy streets. Our place is not some high-rise office; it’s just a local spot where we get together to do some seva, or service. We named it after Vivekananda because his ideas are still a big part of life here in Bengal. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We are just a group of neighbors and friends who wanted to set up a sansthan to help out the people living around Deshpran Sashmal Road. The traffic outside can be quite a lot, especially during the rush hour, but we stay focused on the tasks we have inside. It is a very hands-on kind of place. We handle things like small community events or helping out families who are going through a rough patch. There isn't a lot of paperwork or bureaucracy here.
