The Park Hotel (Vizag)

We’re actually based out of Kolkata, even though we deal with the hotel in Vizag. Our spot is at C/47 Dineshnagar in the Mukundapur area. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s a lot quieter than the city center. We use this space to handle the administrative side of things for The Park Hotel. It’s not a big fancy hotel building here; it’s just a regular house turned into an office space. We have a few rooms filled with filing cabinets and computers. The internet can be a bit patchy when it rains, which happens a lot in Kolkata. We spend most of our time on calls with the team in Vizag or sorting through the bookings and invoices. It’s a lot of paperwork, to be honest. We’ve got a small kettle for tea and we usually bring our lunch from home. There’s a small garden out front that someone tries to look after, but the weeds usually win. It feels more like a home than a workplace, which suits us just fine. We don't have a big corporate logo out front, just the house number. If you're coming by, it’s near the local market. We just keep things moving along, making sure the back-end stuff is sorted so the hotel can run like it should. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us and we get it done without making a big production out of it.
