The Joy Of Learning

The Joy Of Learning is located in the 700089 area of Kolkata. It isn't a massive school or a big company. It’s more of a small space where we try to help kids feel a bit better about their studies. Often, school can be very stressful, so we wanted a place that felt a bit different. We have some colorful charts on the walls and some old rugs on the floor where kids can sit. It’s not very formal. We don't have a strict uniform or anything like that. We just want the students to show up and be ready to read. Sometimes we read stories together, and other times we work on science projects. It’s a bit messy sometimes, especially when we’re doing hands-on things. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who live around here. Most of the parents are our neighbors. We talk to them when we see them at the local shops. It’s a very local operation. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. The word gets around by itself. It’s just a quiet spot in the neighborhood where learning happens at a slower pace. We don't worry about being the biggest center in the city. We just care about what's happening right here in our small room every day. It is a humble place for local children.
