You can find us at 52 J. L. Nehru Road. It is a big old street and our building has been here for a long time. Even though the name is big, the daily work is just people sitting at desks and talking about metal. There is a lot of history in these halls. You can see it in the way the floors are worn down. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding steel orders and shipping schedules. It is a busy place with people coming and going all the time. The elevators are sometimes slow so we end up taking the stairs. We spend most of our hours looking at production figures and making sure the supply chain is moving. It gets pretty loud during the peak hours of the day when everyone is on their phones. We have some old wooden furniture that has probably been here since the office opened. It isn't like those modern glass buildings you see nowadays. It feels more real and solid. There is a small canteen nearby where most of us go for lunch. We talk about the projects and the upcoming deadlines while we eat. It is a steady kind of life here on Nehru Road. We just focus on the steel and making sure everything stays on track. It is a lot of responsibility but we are used to it after all these years.
