Our workshop for Black Solid Machine Pvt. Ltd. is at 73, Pailan Hat, right off Diamond Harbour Road. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city but we like it here. We deal with machinery and heavy equipment mostly. It gets pretty greasy and loud in the shop but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. We’ve got a few big machines of our own that we use daily. The building isn't new but it’s sturdy and gives us the space we need. We started out small and just gradually added more tools as we went along. Diamond Harbour Road is always busy with trucks so we are used to the noise. Most of the guys working here live nearby in the Pailan Hat area. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or anything, we just wear what’s comfortable for getting dirty. We handle repairs and some custom work when people ask for it. It's a lot of heavy lifting and manual labor. We don't do much online, mostly people just stop by or call us up when they have a problem with their gear. We just try to be fair and do the work properly. It’s a simple way of doing business. No one here is looking for fame, we just want to get the machines running again. The tea stall down the road is where we usually take our breaks. It's a decent life and we're glad to be part of the community here in Pailan Hat.
