Sri Laxmi Bearing Co. is right on Strand Road, at No. 36. We are in the Fairley Place area, which is part of Bbd Bagh. This part of the city is very old and has a lot of history in the buildings. You can see it in the high ceilings and the thick walls of the shops around here. Strand Road is always packed with people and yellow taxis honking their horns. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We have bearings stacked in every available corner. It’s a bit dusty, and the floor is worn down from years of people walking in and out. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and maybe a clock that is a few minutes fast. Working in Bbd Bagh means you are in the center of everything. There are banks and government offices all around us. We have been at this Strand Road location for a long time, and we know many of the other shop owners on the block. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the weather or the traffic. It’s a simple business life. We don't try to sound more important than we are. We are just here at No. 36, selling bearings to anyone who needs them. That is the way we have always done it.
